SwimFish is a private swimming school based on the A30 near Basingstoke, offering small-class swimming lessons for babies, children, and adults across Hampshire. Whether you are looking to introduce your baby to the water from as young as three months, find your school-age child a class where they genuinely progress, or finally learn to swim yourself – we teach everyone, at their own pace, in a warm and welcoming pool. We serve families and individual adults from Basingstoke, Hook, Farnham, Alton, Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Bramley, and Tadley.

At SwimFish, we know swimming is joyful.
We keep our classes intentionally small so that every swimmer gets genuine attention, consistent feedback, and the space to develop at a pace that is right for them. We do not use badge or certificate schemes. We do not grade children against a national framework. What we do is teach excellent swimming – all four strokes, tumble turns, water safety – and watch confidence grow from the inside out.
Tanya and Kirstie, both fully qualified, both passionate about swimming, and both committed to an approach built on encouragement rather than assessment pressure. Two dedicated teachers invariably in the water – that is what makes SwimFish different.

Baby & Parent Swimming
For babies from birth to 4 years. Building water confidence together in a warm, welcoming pool.
Children's Lessons
School age, ability – matched groups. Consistent progrgress and genuine feedback every session.
Tween & Teen Lessons
Ages 11-16. Focus on technique, stamina, and growing independence in water.
Rookie Lifeguard
RLSS Bronze, Silver & Gold. Ages 11+, 50m front crawl required to join the programme.
Adult Lessons
Complete beginners to stroke improvers. Flexible scheduling to fit around your life.
Private One-to-One
All ages. Mximum individual attention and the fastest router to real progress.
Where We Teach
We teach at the Basingstoke Country Hotel (BCH) pool on the A30 – a warm, purpose-suited facility conveniently located for families from Basingstoke, Hook, Farnham, Alton, Fleet, and Hartley Wintney. Free parking is available on site.
